It is always different playing under the lights. Perhaps the dark sky as a backdrop helps to create a sense of mystique and urgency. The darkness covers everything else and nothing else exists at this moment in time. The only purpose in life at this moment are these players that are on this illuminated field.
It was chilly for Miami and the air lingered with a wetness that made you feel colder than you were. It was reported to be the chillest Orange Bowl in it's 76 year history - 49 degrees at kickoff.
But the Hawks came out strong right from the beginning. The defense was remarkable! They held Georgia Tech to 155 yards rushing. Iowa would seal this victory 24-14.
