I did a search on the Internet for information about Scientology. www.scientology.org Here you will find an elaborate website that utilizes technology to the utmost. On their website there are many videos, however they give you very little information about the doctrine of this newly founded religion. The founder is L Rob Hubbard born in Tisdell Nebraska in March 1911 and pasted away in 1986. His father was a Naval Officer and Ron Hubbard traveled extensivelyas a child. He attended George Washington University as an engineering student. He was the 385Th licensed glider plane pilot. Ron Hubbard was an author who wrote high action tales, science fiction and romance stories. He authored under 15 pen names. In his book Dianetics he combined the spiritual principles from the East with the scientific methodologies from the West. His premise was - when mental blocks were lifted then medicines could work. This book inspired the movement and the birth of Scientology the religion.
I viewed many of the videos on the website - I never did find much of the doctrine of Scientology on the surface of the website. It appears to be hidden and you must either go to one of their churches or order their books. "Buyer BeWare"
There appears to be 8 Dynamics :
1. Self
2. Creativity
3. Group Survival
4. Species
5. Light Forms
6. Physical Universe
7. Spiritual
8. Infinity - this is commonly thought of a a supreme being or the allness of all. You must however make it through the 7 Dynamics in order to realize the 8Th and final dynamic.
I think this concept appears to be in reverse order of Christianity. In Christianity you must first realize and accept that there is a God that all life flows from. However some educated people can not believe in what they can not see or touch. I wonder how many Scientologists make it to the 8Th Dynamic? It appears to be the religion of Educated People.
Based on the premise of Scientology was Jett not able to remove the mental block(s) so that modern medicine might help him?
I am sure his parents miss him dearly and will always second guess any and every decision they ever made in regards to their son. Just as loved ones who have relied on modern medicine that failed will forever wonder if they made all the right decisions.
For me - I need as much information up front - right from the beginning- and want to know all
my options - spiritual and scientific- so I can make the best decision possible.
